In comparison

Hawaii2008 027, originally uploaded by YarnDork.

Today was a crappy day, weather wise, so here’s a picture from Hawaii to make things all better. This was a fun day . I told them, “Don’t get your shoes wet.” Yeah, that’ll work. I should have had them wear their water shoes. These rocks were so cool, they’re hardened lava. If you look at them the right way, you can sort of see how the lave flowed. There were tide pools all over the place, and some of them had little fishies in them, and teeny hermit crabs, which the boy had way too much fun catching and begging me to let them take them back to the resort room.

Back on that don’t get wet part, I got wet too. I was over looking into this one tide pool, and a big wave came in and splashed me. Way to set a good example, huh?
