The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we were very surprised to wake up to a great snowfall. It snowed for at least 4 hours. As you can tell from the background, it didn’t stick on the ground. But I guess the deck was cold enough until the sun broke through the clouds. The boys immediately wanted to get their gear on, and David started rolling up balls for a snowman. Here they all are, with the first official snowman of the season. David’s on the left, Patrick in the middle, and Russell on the right. See his grin, like he just stomped on something? He’s like that most of the time.
More on the scarves of Christmas tomorrow…
I am in Minnesota and we have not had more than flurries here. I am not complaining though because I know we will get our share before spring.
Isn’t the first snow FUN? I LOVE it, always makes me feel all cozy and domestic. (Lasts about as long as the first snow, too…) And I’m in Wisconsin so when Robin gets snow, I’ll get it next. I have to say, though, I love it and am hoping for soft, gentle and DEEP snow. It insulates, and if it stays cold enough the roads are dry after they’re plouwed. Bring it on! (Besides, nothing’s better than watching beautiful sparkly snow fall, as seen over the rim of a cup of cocoa….while knitting!)
(oops…that should’ve been “plowed”…)
And that cocoa should really have some Bailey’s or Peppermint Schnapps in it too. And some cookies for energy.
