Posting from Illinois

We made it, with only several “Are we there yet?”s.

I don’t know how I did that drive from FL to IL with the boys by myself. That took 2 days, and this one only takes one, and I almost went insane.

We had a great birthday party for my dad on the 4th. BBQ ribs, smoked ribs, smoked salmon, grilled salmon, and 2 fried turkeys. And potato salad times 2, pasta salad, cauliflower salad, this strawberry parfait stuff, 2 baked desserts that are such great fake-outs (note to self…post that recipe here later on), ice cream sundaes, and corn bread muffins.

Today the boys and my brother in law helped my dad do some yardwork and my sister and I did a yarn/bead crawl. Later on before the trip is over, there will be some surprises made for the ladies I knit with at Panera. I won’t say what they are; it’s a surprise.

That Wool and Company place was FANTASTIC. It’s huge and there was so much yummy stuff I totally forgave them for not having any Lorna’s Laces DK Swirl. I got some neat stuff. And more…

Must stop typing now, kids are using computer room for sleeping, and it’s 9:30pm.
